Creative Economy is selling well, Check out the Ease of Business Licensing!

“The creative economy sector is increasingly developing its wings and is profitable for business actors. Creative economy business licensing is relatively practical when compared to other business sectors.”

In recent years, the prospect of creative industry business is increasingly spreading in the market. Especially because jobs that are engaged in these fields tend to be done anywhere, or remotely.

Of course, this business is increasingly popular with the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic which makes some people reluctant to leave the house too often. If the creative industry achieves a lot of reach or engagement, it will be increasingly recognized and will not fail to produce large sums of rupiah.

Creative industry-based businesses cannot be separated from the creative economy sector. Lots of work going on in it. Based on Ministerial Regulation Number Tourism and Creative Economy Number 7 of 2021 concerning Numbers, Standards, Procedures, and Criteria for Risk-Based Business Licensing for the Creative Economy Sector, the work aimed at, among others:

  1. Graphic designer
  2. Designer specialized in films, videos, TV programs, animation and comics
  3. Game content designer
  4. More creative content designers
  5. Photographer

Standard Indonesian Business Field Classifications (KBLI)

Businesses engaged in the creative economy are also required to register business licenses in the Online Single Submission Risk-Based Approach (OSS-RBA) system. First, look for the Indonesian Standard Classification of Business Fields (KBLI) for several jobs that are included in the scope of the creative economy. The following describes the KBLI of each creative economy business activity:

  1. Visual communication design (DKV)/graphic designer activity: 74130
  2. Special design activities for films, videos, TV programs, animation and comics: 74141
  3. Game content design activity: 74142
  4. Other creative content design activities: 74149
  5. Photography activity: 74201

After knowing the KBLI for each business activity, the scale of business risk will be known. The creative economic activities above are included in the classification of low-risk business activities.

Low-risk business activities only require a Business Identification Number (NIB) in the licensing process. In addition, NIB in low-risk business activities also serves as legality to conduct business activities (Article 12 of Government Regulation Number 5 of 2021 concerning Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing).

Before making an online NIB, first of all, you should register access rights on the OSS page.

Some Standard Documents that Need to be Prepared in order to Register Access Rights on the OSS-RBA Page

  1. Individuals
    1. Identity Card (KTP)
    2. Taxpayer Registration Number (NPWP)
  2. Business Entity
    1. Deed of Establishment or Registration Deed along with the latest SK endorsement
    2. Identity Card (KTP) of one of the directors/managements
    3. Business entity’s Taxpayer Registration Number (NPWP)

After that, you can directly register access rights on the OSS page. If you have finished obtaining access rights, then proceed to process the making of NIB.

If they have succeeded in obtaining the NIB, then the creative economy business actors must carry out their business obligations according to the K3L Standard Certificate. The certificate is obtained automatically after the issuance of the NIB.
